The Challenge

The customer needed reliable flotation separation equipment for a mineral beneficiation plant in Kitwe, Zambia. The main challenge was to select flotation machines that could handle continuous mineral processing operation while maintaining stable pulp circulation, proper air intake, effective reagent mixing, and high mineral separation efficiency. Since flotation equipment directly affects concentrate recovery and beneficiation performance, the customer required machines with stable liquid level control, durable wear parts, and efficient mineralized foam discharge. The project also required equipment suitable for non-ferrous metal ore processing and other mineral separation applications.

Our Solution

Zhenggang Machinery supplied multiple SF flotation machines for the customer’s beneficiation plant. The SF flotation machine uses a motor-driven impeller to generate centrifugal force and negative pressure, allowing air to mix with mineral slurry while also stirring the pulp and flotation reagents. This process helps refine bubbles, attach useful mineral particles to the foam, and bring mineralized foam to the slurry surface for collection. The equipment was selected to improve flotation separation efficiency, maintain stable pulp circulation, reduce wear-part replacement frequency, and support long-term mineral processing operation.

The project followed a standard equipment supply process, including flotation requirement confirmation, SF flotation machine production, quality inspection, loading, shipment, installation support, and commissioning guidance. Zhenggang Machinery completed the flotation machines in November 2015 and arranged smooth loading and delivery to support the customer’s mineral beneficiation plant operation.

The Results

After delivery and installation, the SF flotation machines provided the customer with reliable flotation separation performance for mineral beneficiation. The equipment helped improve air-slurry mixing, foam formation, liquid level stability, and useful mineral recovery. With good pulp circulation, high separation efficiency, stable operation, and longer impeller and stator service life, the flotation machines supported the customer’s long-term mineral processing requirements in Kitwe, Zambia.
