The Challenge

Featured image of 450 TPH granite crushing production line in Pontevedra Spain
The customer needed a high-capacity granite crushing production line for processing very hard quarry stone into high-quality construction aggregates. The main challenge was the hardness of the granite and the large raw material size after blasting, with some granite blocks reaching around 1 meter in diameter. Direct crushing of oversized hard granite would increase equipment wear, raise maintenance cost, reduce production stability, and affect finished aggregate quality. The customer required a crushing process that could reduce large granite blocks efficiently, protect core crushing equipment, lower operating cost, and produce stable aggregate products for construction and infrastructure applications.
  • 450 T/H granite crushing capacity
  • Suitable for high-hardness granite stone
  • Multi-stage crushing reduces equipment wear
  • Improved aggregate quality and production profit

Our Solution

Zhenggang Machinery designed a multi-stage granite crushing solution according to the raw material hardness, feed size, and finished aggregate requirements. The process first uses heavy-duty feeding and primary crushing to reduce large blasted granite blocks. After the first crushing stage, the material is processed through a second crushing stage to reduce the stone size to below 15 cm. The material then enters medium and fine crushing sections for further size reduction and shaping. This staged process helps reduce equipment wear, improve crushing efficiency, control finished particle size, and increase the overall profitability of the granite aggregate production line.

The project was implemented through site investigation, raw material analysis, crushing process design, equipment selection, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and operator training. Zhenggang Machinery focused on solving the customer’s high-hardness granite crushing challenge by configuring a multi-stage crushing process that reduced oversized raw stone step by step, protected equipment, and improved finished aggregate quality.

The Results

After commissioning, the granite crushing production line provided stable 450 T/H aggregate processing capacity and improved the customer’s crushing efficiency. The multi-stage process reduced the large granite feed size step by step, lowered direct impact on key crushing equipment, and reduced wear-related operating costs. The optimized crushing flow also improved finished stone quality, supported better aggregate grading, and helped the customer produce more reliable construction materials for quarry, road, concrete, and infrastructure projects.
