The Challenge

The customer needed reliable grinding equipment for an African mineral beneficiation plant. After ore crushing, the material required further wet grinding to reach the proper particle size for beneficiation and downstream separation. The main challenge was to provide a durable ball mill system capable of continuous operation, stable grinding performance, and efficient ore particle size reduction. Since mineral processing plants require strong equipment reliability, the customer also needed high-quality grinding media, stable transmission performance, and equipment suitable for different ore types, including gold ore, non-ferrous metal ore, and ferrous metal ore.

Our Solution

Zhenggang Machinery supplied an overflow type ball mill and grinding media for the beneficiation plant. The overflow ball mill was selected as the key grinding equipment after the crushing stage, supporting wet grinding of ore and other materials. The equipment configuration was designed to help the customer improve grinding stability, obtain suitable mineral particle size, and support continuous beneficiation operation. Zhenggang Machinery completed manufacturing, quality inspection, loading, and shipment to ensure the equipment could be delivered smoothly for installation and mineral processing plant use.

The project followed a standard equipment supply process, including grinding requirement confirmation, overflow ball mill production, grinding media preparation, quality inspection, loading, shipment, and installation support. Zhenggang Machinery completed the overflow ball mill and grinding media in September 2021, then arranged loading and delivery to support the customer’s beneficiation plant grinding operation.

The Results

After delivery and installation, the overflow ball mill provided the customer with reliable wet grinding performance for mineral beneficiation. The equipment helped grind crushed ore into suitable particle size for downstream processing, improved grinding stability, and supported continuous beneficiation plant operation. With matched grinding media and durable ball mill structure, the project helped the customer strengthen ore processing efficiency and build a more stable grinding section for gold ore and other mineral processing applications.
